Schedule of the Day

8:00 A.M. The Exhibit area opens to HSEF 2026 participants
8:00 A.M. – 8:30 A.M. Student Exhibit Setup
8:00 A.M. – 9:00 A.M. SRC and Display Approval (On Exhibit floor)
8:00 A.M. – 9:00 A.M. Student Exhibits open for public viewing. All parents and guests must exit the building at the close of public viewing and prior to judging.
8:00 A.M. – 8:30 A.M. Judges Check-in
8:30 A.M. – 9:00 A.M. Judges Orientation meetings in the Auditorium
8:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. Judges Caucus Rooms (open to judges only)
9:15 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. Judging Sessions – Students need to stay at their exhibits. Even if not scheduled for an interview as special awards organization judges do not have scheduled interviews.
LUNCH BREAK Staggered Lunch Break (we will dismiss you) Grades 4-8(11:15—12:00) Grades 9-12(12:00-1:00)

 

Parents are to remain in the lobby area on the first floor, students will come downstairs when they are released for lunch.  Parents may go with them to lunch (at their own expense)

 
2:00 P.M. – 3:45 P.M. All Students, parents and guests will be guests of the IU Indianapolis School of Science for tours and discussions.

 

Exhibits will be open for public viewing without students present.

4:00 P.M.

Students are to remove posters from exhibit area in preparation for awards.
4:15 P.M. Students will enter the auditorium for awards and be seated on the first level. After all students are seated, parents will be admitted to be seated.
4:30 P.M. Awards program in Auditorium (LE 101)
