The Science Education Foundation of Indiana (SEFI) funded a delegation of 30 individuals, including 25 student finalists and 5 chaperones, to attend the 2022 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) held in Atlanta GA from May 7-13. The Indiana Finalists were selected by a panel of judges to be the top presenters of their research project at the April 2022 Hoosier Science and Engineering Fair (HSEF) earning them the right to present their research project to a broad group of judges at ISEF who interviewed the students and scored each student’s presentation and research poster.

SEFI is very pleased to announce that two of the Indiana students who participated in this year’s ISEF won placement awards.

Rohan Bhosale, Carmel High School, won a second-place award of $2,00.00 in the Biochemistry category. Rohan’s project was titled Accelerated Bio-Chemical Depolymerization of Plastics from Surgical Face Masks: A Proactive Solution to the Impending Environmental Pandemic.
