Celebrate Science Indiana: We hope to see many of you at Celebrate Science Indiana on Saturday, October 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p,m, in the Elements Blue Ribbon Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Admission is free but the fairgrounds charges $5/vehicle for parking. This year we will have about 70 exhibitors offering engaging, educational, hands on STEM experiences along with Andy Harris’ very popular computer science presentations at 10 a.m and 1.pm.

Discovery on Draft
• When: 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, September 19
• Where: Ash & Elm Cider Co., 2104 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46201
• Price: $5/person
• What: Adults 21 and older are invited to engage in conversations with local experts and academics on a variety of topics. This month, learn about the science behind virtual reality and augmented reality, both how it can be used in our everyday lives and how these technologies could impact the future. Books, Booze & Brains
• When: 6:30 to 8 p.m., Sept. 25
• Where: Centerpoint Brewing Company, 1125 E. Brookside Ave., Suite 2B Indianapolis, IN 46202
• Price: Free
• What: In this adults-only science book club, join an expert for a facilitated discussion about a popular science-themed book while sipping a drink or eating a snack from Centerpoint Brewing. This month, join the discussion on “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” by Rebecca Skloot. This program is for adults 21 and older.

Global Cardboard Challenge
• When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, Saturday, October 6
• Where: Indiana State Museum, 650 W Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46204 
• Price: Included with purchase of general admission
• What: Join thousands of people around the world to celebrate the Global Cardboard Challenge. Participants in the program at the Indiana State Museum will aim to design and build the biggest cardboard arcade in Indiana. From pinball machines to toss games or whatever else your imagination can create, it will be more fun than you can fit in a box – or a hundred boxes.
